Support Article : How do I set
up the bridge to Quick Books?
After
printing checks you can send the data to a temporary file which can be imported
into the Quick Books check register by entering a date range for the checks you
wish to have exported into the temporary file. To reach the Quick Books Export go
to the Main Menu and choose Receipt and Checking. You can only use your Quick Books
laser checks with WinAA.
When entering items into any check register you must specify an expense account.
In the example above the account COPAY or Company Payables is used as the expense
account.
AA exports to both Quick Books for DOS in QIF format and Quick Books for Windows
in IIF format. Since Quick Books for Windows can have multiple checking accounts,
you must specify the name of the checking account on the setup screen above. Consult
your Quick Books manual for instructions on importing files. When importing to Quick
Books for DOS the import file name is C:\AAUSR\AAXFER.QIF. When importing to Quick
Books for Windows the import file name is C:\AAUSR\AAXFER.IIF.
